Public notices affecting Watford, Bushey and Loudwater

A stretch of road more than a mile long is among the road closures that are set to take place in and around Watford to allow roadworks to be carried out.

Herts County Council has published its intention to close a 2,000m-long section of Grove Mill Lane, along with other streets in the Watford area, in the Public Notice Portal.

This is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.

Here are four notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in Watford, Bushey and Loudwater.

Devereux Drive, Watford – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Devereux Drive, Watford from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.24 Devereux Drive north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m to allow utility service works to be carried out.

If made, this order will come into force on January 29.

Grove Mill Lane, Watford – temporary closure

The county council is intending to make an order to prevent drivers from using Grove Mill Lane, Watford from its junction with A411 Hempstead Road south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Langleybury Lane, a distance of approximately 2000m due to roadworks.

Additionally, all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the road whilst works are in progress.

This order, if made, will come into force on January 27.

Sarratt Lane, Loudwater – temporary closure

Utility service works mean vehicles are set to be prohibited from using Sarratt Lane, Loudwater from its junction with Cherry Walk south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Ladywood Close, a distance of approximately 195m.

If made, this order will come into effect on January 28.

Silk Mill Road, Oxhey Hall – temporary closure

The county council is intending to make an order to prevent drivers from using Silk Mill Road, Oxhey Hall from a point in line with the north western boundary of No.10 Silk Mill Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m.

This is to allow utility service works to be carried out.

This order, if made, will come into effect on January 28.

Estate of David Israel Amron

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of David Israel Amron, late of Flat 5, The Whitehouse, Sparrows Herne, Bushey, WD23 1AQ, who died on November 9, 2024, must send written particulars to SWW Trust Corporation, Unit 3 Checkpoint Court, Sadler Road, Lincoln, LN6 3PW.

This should be done by March 11, 2025 quoting reference: SWW Trust Corporation.
