More than 25 streets in and around Watford are set to shut for roadworks while residents in Three Rivers will have to pay more to park their car from later this month.
Herts County Council has published its intention to make an order to temporarily close various roads in Watford, Oxhey and Abbots Langley in the Public Notice Portal.
This is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.
This is also where Three Rivers District Council have provided a breakdown of the increased cost of parking permits from February 17.

Various roads in Watford, Oxhey and Abbots Langley – Temporary closures
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles form using the following lengths of road, except for access, and to prohibit any waiting on both sides of these lengths of roads while works are carried out.
If made, this order will come into force on February 12 and be valid for up to 18 months, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.
- Ashby Road, Watford, from its junction with Sussex Road north eastwards to its junction with Gammons Lane, a distance of approximately 215m.
- Bramleas, Watford, from its junction with Cherrydale southwards for its entire length.
- Burton Avenue, Watford, from its junction with Durban Road West southwards and south eastwards to its junction with Whippendell Road, a distance of approximately 129m.
- Charlock Way, Watford, from its junction with Vicarage Road north westwards, north eastwards, and north westwards to its junction with Tolpits Lane, a distance of approximately 451m.
- Cherrydale, Watford, from its junction with Hagden Lane south westwards, north westwards, and south westwards to its junction with Savannah Court, a distance of approximately 124m.
- Combe Road, Watford, from its junction with High View north eastwards to its junction with Charlock Way, a distance of approximately 163m.
- Comyne Road, Watford, from its junction with Chilcott Road north eastwards for its entire length.
- Cross Road, Oxhey/Watford, from its junction with Paddock Close north eastwards for its entire length.
- Desmond Road, Watford, from its junction with Rosebriar Walk south eastwards to its junction with Comyne Road, a distance of approximately 142m.
- Elfrida Road, Watford, from its junction with Neal Street south eastwards to its junction with Lammas Road, a distance of approximately 149m.
- Field Road, Watford, from its junction with Lower Paddock Road north eastwards to its junction with King Edward Road, a distance of approximately 117m.
- Haydon Road, Watford, from its junction with A411 Chalk Hill south eastwards for its entire length.
- Healey Road, Watford, from its junction with High View north eastwards to its junction with Charlock Way, a distance of approximately 165m.

Three Rivers - increased parking charges
The cost of parking permits in Three Rivers will be increasing from February 17.
The annual charge for a first residents’ permit in Zones A, A1, B, C, C1, E, BED, RG, NS, GS, ST, TX and NL is increasing from £75 to £77, and a second permit is going up from £138 to £142.
In Zones CG, D, OW, OZ and W the cost of a first permit will rise to £39 from £38 and a second permit will be going up from £69 to £71.
The annual cost of a business permit will increase from £675 to £692 in Rickmansworth and £300 to £308 in Chorleywood.
Cassiobury Drive – Premises licence
A café in Watford is applying for permission to sell alcohol.
Yaz Duru Ltd is seeking the granting of a premises licence at Rhubarb Cafe, 168 Cassiobury Drive, Watford, WD17 3AJ.
If successful, the licence would allow the café to open from 8am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday, and for the sale of alcohol on the premises only from 12 noon to 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday.
