Two streets in Watford are among the latest planned road closures in the Watford area.
Herts County Council has used the Public Notice Portal to publish its intention to make an order to temporarily close Kingswood Road and Derby Road to allow works to be carried out.
The portal is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.
Closures are also scheduled in roads in Bushey, Kings Langley and Maple Cross.
All temporary closure orders and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.
Here are five closure notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in the Watford area.
Kingswood Road, Watford – temporary closure and waiting restrictions
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Kingswood Road, Watford from its junction with Perivale Gardens south westwards to its junction with Briar Road, a distance of approximately 482m, except for access, to allow works to be carried out.
Additionally, all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting on both sides of the road while the works are carried out.
If made, this order will come into force on May 19.
Derby Road, Watford – temporary closure and waiting restrictions
An order is set to be made to prevent all vehicles from using Derby Road, Watford from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Grosvenor Road, a distance of approximately 131m, except for access to enable works to be carried out.
Additionally, all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting on both sides of the road while the works are carried out.
This order is due to come into force on May 19.
Toms Lane, Kings Langley – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to prohibit road users from using Toms Lane, Kings Langley from a point 125m north-east of its junction with Primrose Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m to enable electrical works to be carried out.
This order, if made, will come into force on May 19.
Little Bushey Lane, Bushey – temporary closure
An order is set to be made to prevent motorists and cyclists from using Little Bushey Lane, Bushey from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.129 Little Bushey Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 28m to allow water main repair works.
If made, this order will come into force on May 19.
Hornhill Road, Maple Cross – temporary closure and waiting restrictions
Herts County Council is intending to be made to prohibit all vehicles from using Hornhill Road, Maple Cross from its junction with The Hawthorns north eastwards to its junction with Downings Wood, a distance of approximately 217m, except for access, to allow works to be carried out.
In addition, all vehicles will not be permitted to wait on both sides of the road while the works are in progress.
This order, if made, will come into force on May 19.
