Watford CPZ extended and latest planned road closures

An area of which in which residents need to pay to park their cars has been extended.

Watford Borough Council has published details of the extension to the area covered by the Cassiobury Drive controlled parking zone V in the Public Notice Portal.

The portal is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.

The latest notices also include details of planned road closures in Bushey, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.

All temporary closure orders and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.

Here are five closure notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in the Watford area.

Cassiobury Drive, Watford – controlled parking zone extension

The area covered by a controlled parking zone (CPZ) in Watford has been extended.

With effect from Friday, CPZ V now covers a section of Cassiobury Drive between 50 metres north of Langley Way to its junction with Bellmount Wood Avenue during its operational hours (10.30am and 2.30pm, Mondays to Fridays, from January 1 to June 30 and September 30 to December 31).

Furthermore, the section of No Waiting within this area from 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday, has been removed.

A41 Elton Way, Bushey – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using the A41 Elton Way, Bushey from a point 150m south-east of its junction with B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout north-westwards for a distance of approximately 70m, except for access, to allow works to take place.

This order, if made, will come into force on June 21.

A412 Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth – temporary closure

The county council is intending to make an order to temporarily close the A412 Uxbridge Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with the A412 Denham Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 20m, to allow works to be carried out.

If made, this order will come into force on June 23.

Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood – temporary closure

An order is set to be made to prohibit vehicles from using Solesbridge Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Sarratt Road south-westwards to its junction with Sarratt Lane, a distance of approximately 663m, except for access.

This is to allow a utility pole to be replaced and, if made, this order will come into force on June 25.

Estate of Louisa Frances Chambers

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Louisa Frances Chambers, late of 33 Garston Crescent, Watford, WD25 0LD, who died on January 16, 2025, should send their written particulars to Roz Bradley c/o Zedra Legal Services (UK) Ltd, Booths Hall, Booths Park, 3 Chelford Road, Knutsford, WA16 8GS.

This should be done by August 7, 2025.
