The operators of a Watford strip club have applied for permission to renew its licence.
Admiral Bars’ application for a premises licence for Diamonds and Strings, in Market Street, has been published in the Public Notice Portal.
The latest notices also include an increase in the cost of car parking in some pay and display bays in Bushey and Radlett and planned road closures in Kings Langley and Chorleywood.
All temporary closure orders and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.

Market Street – premises licence
A strip club has applied for permission to renew its licence.
Admiral Bars (Herts) Limited is seeking the go-ahead from Watford Borough Council to continue to use Diamonds and Strings, 9 Market Street, Watford, WD18 0PA as a sexual entertainment venue.
If granted, the club will be allowed to provide these forms of entertainment: striptease, table dance, lap dance, stage show, entertainment of a like kind.
Anyone wishing to object must do so in writing to the Head of Community & Customer Services, Watford Borough Council, Town Hall, Watford, WD17 3EX or by email: licensing@watford.gov.uk
The notice states the council will not reveal the names of the objectors without their consent.
Bushey, Bushey Heath and Radlett – parking charges
It will cost more to park your car in some on-street pay and display bays in Bushey, Bushey Heath and Radlett from the middle of next month.
Hertsmere Borough Council will be varying the charges in the following locations from July 14:
- Bushey: 20-minute parking bays in Melbourne Road, Bushey Hall Road: remaining free of charge.
- Bushey: 30-minute parking bays in Rudolph Road, Falconer Road and Aldenham Road: remaining free of charge.
- Bushey: one-hour parking bays in High Street: the first 30 minutes will remain free of charge, but will rise from £1.10 to £1.15 for one hour.
- Bushey: two-hour parking bays in Greenhill Road: the cost will rise from £1.10 to £1.15 for one hour and from £2.20 to £2.25 for two hours.
- Bushey Heath: one-hour parking bays in High Road, High Road Service Road and Elstree Road: the first 30 minutes will remain free of charge, but the cost will rise from £1.10 to £1.15 for one hour.
- Radlett: one-hour parking bays in Aldenham Avenue, Newberries Parade, Station Road and Watling Street: the first 30 minutes will remain free of charge, but the cost will rise from £1.10 to £1.15 for one hour and £2.20 to £2.25 for two hours.
Station Road, Chorleywood – temporary closure
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Station Approach, Chorleywood from its junction with Chorleywood Public Footpath 004 to 20m north-westwards for a distance of approximately 15m, except for access, to allow utility service works to be carried out.
If made, this order will come into force on July 6.
Harthall Lane, Kings Langley – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to temporarily close Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from a point 143m west of its junction with Railway Terrace north-westwards for a distance of approximately 80m, except for access, to enable utility service works to take place.
This order, if made, will come into force on July 7.
Berry Lane, Chorleywood – temporary closure
An order is set to be made to prohibit all vehicles from using Berry Lane, Chorleywood from a point 71m south west of its junction with Clements Gate and south-westwards for a distance of approximately 72m, except for access, to allow utility service works to be carried out.
If made, this order will come into force on July 8.
