Roads in Watford and Kings Langley are among the latest planned closures in the area for roadworks.
Herts County Council has published its intention in the Public Notice Portal to temporarily shut parts of Comyne Road, Watford, and Harthall Lane, in Kings Langley, to allow utility works to take place.
The portal is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.
The council is also planning temporary closures in Sarratt and Heronsgate.
All temporary road closure orders and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.

Comyne Road, Watford – temporary closure
Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Comyne Road, Watford from its junction with Hudson Close south-westwards for a distance of approximately 20m, except for access, to enable utility connection works to be carried out,
If made, this order will come into force on August 4.
The Green, Sarratt – temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using The Green, Sarratt from a point 119m south-east of its junction with Sarratt Public Footpath No.027 north westwards for a distance of approximately 35m, except for access.
This is to allow gas connection works to be carried out.
The order, if made, will come into force on August 4.
Harthall Lane, Kings Langley – temporary closure
An order is set to be made by Herts County Council to prevent all vehicles from using Harthall Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with Abbotts Langley Public Footpath No.054 north-eastwards for a distance of approximately 82m, except for access, to allow utility service works to take place.
This order, if made, will come into force on August 5.
Long Lane, Heronsgate – temporary closure
An order is set to be made to prohibit all vehicles from using Long Lane, Heronsgate from its junction with Stockport Road south-eastwards for a distance of approximately, except for access, to allow water main replacement works to be carried out.
If made, this order will come into force on August 5.
Estate of Violet Ethel Allen-Smith
Anyone with a claim against or an interest in the estate of Violet Ethel Allen-Smith, late of Tremona Care Home 18 Alexandra Road Watford, WD17 4QY, who died on February 23, 2025 should sent their written particulars to Penman Sedgwick LLP, 5 George Street, Watford, WD18 0SQ.
This should be done on or before September 12, 2025 after which the estate will be distributed having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have been notified.
