Planned Watford-area road closures among public notices

These are among the latest public notices to be published in the Public Notice Portal, which is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.

All temporary road closures and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months but the restrictions will only apply at times indicated by signs on or near the road.

Here are five notices we’ve rounded up which could affect residents in and around the Watford area.

Imperial Way, Watford – goods vehicle licence

A freight transport firm has applied to use a concrete plant as a base for two goods vehicles.

Floris Transport Ltd of 34 Oberon Close, Borehamwood, WD6 5RU is seeking a licence to use Cemex Readymix Plant, Cemex Watford Plant, Imperial Way, Watford WD24 4JF as an operating centre for the vehicles.

Owners or occupiers of land near the operating centre wishing to make representations should do so in writing to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE.

Harper Lane, Radlett – goods vehicle licence

An asphalt plant is set to become the operating centre for a goods vehicle if a licence is granted.

Eyob Kiflet, trading as Eyob Haulage Ltd, of 24 Elm Friars Walk, London, NW1 9YP, has applied for permission use Tarmac Harper Lane Asphalt Plant, Harper Lane, Radlett, WD7 7HX as the centre for one goods vehicle and one trailer.

Anyone wishing to make representations should do so in writing to the Traffic Commissioner at the address above.

High Street and Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth – temporary closure

Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles from using the following lengths of road:

• High Street, Rickmansworth from its junction with Wensum Way north eastwards and eastwards for a distance of approximately 132m.
• Parsonage Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with Rectory Lane south eastwards to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 44m.

The order is needed to allow ducting works to take place and, if made, will come into force on November 17.

A41 Tylers Way, Watford – temporary closure

The county council is intending to make an order to prohibit vehicles from using the northbound carriageway of A41 Tylers Way, Watford from its junction with the A411 Elstree Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Dagger Lane, a distance of approximately 285m, except for access, to allow works to take place.

Additionally, all vehicles will be prohibited from waiting on both sides of the road while the works are carried out.

This order, if made, will come into force on November 17.

Vale Road, Bushey – temporary closure

An order is set to be made to prohibit vehicles from using Vale Road, Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road eastwards to its junction with A411 London Road, a distance of approximately 308m, while remedial works are carried out.

If made, this order will come into force on November 17.
