New double yellow lines could be introduced to tackle "dangerous or obstructive" parking in several roads.
Three Rivers District Council has this week launched a consultation focussed on areas where residents or councillors have identified a potential need for new restrictions.
Seven roads are included in the proposals, including streets in Abbots Langley and Carpenders Park.
The following roads are being eyed for new double yellow lines:
- Eastbury Road at its junction with St Mary's Avenue, Northwood
- Hazelbury Avenue at its junctions with Gallows Hill and Gallows Hill Lane, Abbots Langley
- High Street at its junctions with St Lawrence Close and The Crescent, Abbots Langley
- Popes Road at its junction with Greenways, Abbots Langley
- Romilly Drive at its junctions with Harrow Way and Otley Way, Carpenders Park
- The Mead, Carpenders Park
- Shepherds Lane at its junctions with Thellusson Way and Williamson Way, Mill End
The council has stressed that further public consultations would take place prior to implementation and that no restrictions will be imposed without "clear support for changes".
Separate proposals in Garston
TRDC has also launched a separate consultation aimed at improving journeys to the schools and crematorium in High Elms Lane, Garston.
New parking restrictions are included as well as physical alterations to the paths, parking bays, verges and minor altercations to the carriageway.
The parking changes would see limited waiting restrictions introduced with a 10-minute maximum stay, 10-minute no return policy.
These would be in place between 8am and 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4.30pm during term time only.
