A recently published school league table has been topped by a Hertfordshire school, with several in the Watford area making the UK's top 100.
Think Academy has ranked the best state schools , using a methodology focussed on A-level results from the most recent set of exams.
Dame Alice Owen's School in Potters Bar tops the list, with 30.7 per cent of A-level grades in 2025 being an A* and 89.1 per cent of results being at least a B.
Two Watford schools feature on the list, with Watford Grammar School for Girls in 34th and Parmiter's School coming 27th.
At Parmiter's, 37.5 per cent of grades were an A or A*, while at Watford Grammar School for Girls the figure stands at 39.6 per cent.

St Clement Danes School in Chorleywood - which placed 15th - was the only school in the Watford area to make the top 20.
There are 11 Hertfordshire schools included in the league table, with the majority of the county's representatives coming from the St Albans district.

Think Academy says it has published the list to help parents when researching schools, although noted there are other factors to consider such as Ofsted ratings.

- St Clement Danes School, Chorleywood - 15th
- St George's School, Harpenden - 18th
- Sir John Lawes School, Harpenden - 23rd
- Parmiter's School, Garston - 27th
- Watford Grammar School for Girls - 34th
- The Hertfordshire and Essex High School and Science College, Bishop's Stortford - 42nd
- Roundwood Park School, Harpenden - 47th
- St Albans Girls' School - 68th
- Beaumont School, St Albans - 70th
