The Boat in Berkhamsted, around 20 minutes' drive from Watford, is situated next to the Grand Union Canal and offers a welcoming atmosphere to locals, tourists, and families.
Earning high praise from visitors, the pub has an impressive Google review rating of 4.3 out of 5 from more than 1,150 reviews.
While on Tripadvisor, The Boat has more than 150 'excellent'-rated reviews from happy customers.

The Boat is a "proper foodies pub", offering fresh seasonal food, craft beers, wine and fresh coffees, according to the pub's website.
Featuring a large dining and bar area, the pub has a cosy atmosphere, with a fireplace and large glass doors overlooking the canal.
Outside, guests can sit in the beer garden directly next to the Grand Union Canal, making it the perfect spot for the warmer months.
The Boat serves a wide range of tasty meals, like pub classics and roasts, all made using fresh seasonal ingredients.
Menu items on offer include griddled lamb chops, pan-roasted hake, 225g bavette steak, pepperoni pizza, cheeseburger, and lamb nuggets.
On Sunday, guests at The Boat can enjoy roast dinners, with a choice of sirloin of beef, chicken supreme, braised lamb shoulder, and nut roast.
All roasts come with roast potatoes, maple carrots, squash mash, cauliflower cheese, seasonal greens, Yorkshire pudding, and gravy.
