A Hemel Hempstead road sharing £1 million is among the Hertfordshire success stories in recent Postcode Lottery draws.

Nine postcodes in the county won, including a Watford area and the aforementioned "Millionaire Street".

The HP1 3SE postcode, Halsey Drive, landed the weekly Millionaire Street prize on May 16, meaning nine lucky neighbours shared the huge prize.

Each ticket was worth £76,923, but two players tripled their prizes to £230,769 with three tickets each.

It also meant a set of nearby charities received surprise funding from the lottery, including £50,000 for Mediation Hertfordshire which is based in the very same road.

Each month, those who take part in the competition pay £12 to have the chance to win £1,000 during the Monday-to-Friday draws.

On Saturdays, players have the chance to win a share of the £1 million and on Sundays players could win a £30,000 prize.

The following eight Hertfordshire postcodes were all successful in May's £1,000 draws.
