A suspect has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged attack in Hertfordshire that has left a man with serious injuries.

Police have this morning (June 9) confirmed that Raife Cloney, 22, has been charged with the following offences following the incident in Berkhamsted on Friday afternoon (June 5):

  • Attempted murder
  • Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
  • Possession of a bladed article in a public place
  • Dangerous driving

It happened in Loxley Road at around 1.15pm, with a man in his 50s being taken to hospital after being found by police with serious injuries.

The attack was described as involving two men when an appeal was initially shared at the weekend.

Cloney, of Sanders Lane in London, has been remanded in custody ahead of appearance for trial at Luton Crown Court on Monday, July 6.

His arrest came following a manhunt that sparked the original appeal.
