ARRIVALS
September 1 - Myron Boadu (free transfer)
Boadu completed the transfer window business by signing on a permanent deal.
The Dutchman had huge pedigree as a youngster and will hope to recapture that form at Watford.
September 1 - Stephy Mavididi (loan - Leicester City)
Mavididi comes in as a versatile wing option after the earlier sale of Nestory Irankunda.
He was excellent as the Foxes won the title in 2023/24 but has struggled since.
September 1 - Soumaila Coulibaly (loan - Strasbourg)
Coulibaly adds further depth at centre-back on loan from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
The Frenchman is also left-footed.
September 1 - Branimir Mlacic (loan - Udinese)
Mlacic kicked off Watford's deadline-day business.
The Hornets were in urgent need of centre-back cover and landed the Croatian on a season-long loan from Udinese.
August 12 - Sam Walker (undisclosed fee - Bradford City)
The fee for Walker will have been negligible if it exists at all, the goalkeeper having told Bradford he was keen to move back to his family in Hertfordshire.
He arrives having played over 400 EFL games and is a useful homegrown addition to the goalkeeping department.
August 2 - Jordan Zemura (loan - Udinese)
Zemura is the first summer signing to provide meaningful experience of English football, moving back to his homeland to sign for Watford.
He was a key member of Bournemouth's promotion-winning team in 2021/22 and also played 19 Premier League games.
July 31 - Martin Payero (undisclosed fee - Udinese)
Payero, a midfielder, played 16 games for Middlesbrough after signing from Banfield in Argentina, but made his name much more in Italy.
He spent two seasons featuring regualarly for Udinese, before spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Cremonese.
July 31 - Federico Ravaglia (undisclosed fee - Bologna)
Ravaglia signed a six-year deal with the Hornets, presumably marking him out as the long-term number one.
He played 25 matches for Bologna last season and says the prospect of more first-team football drove the move.
July 24 - Luca Kjerrumgaard (undisclosed fee - Udinese)
Kjerrumgaard completed a permanent move to England, following on from last season's loan.
The Danish striker netted nine goals in his debut season at Vicarage Road, enough to convince Gino Pozzo and Gian Luca Nani that his future is in the Championship.
July 24 - Iker Bravo (Undisclosed fee - Udinese)
Bravo became the Hornets' second summer signing, joining on a three-year deal from Udinese.
The Spaniard won Player of the Tournament at the 2024 Under-19 Euros and has been on the books at Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, having come through the Barcelona academy.
JULY 16 - Omar Traore (undisclosed fee - Udinese)
Right-back Traore initially signed in Italy after his Heidenhein contract run out, before Gian Luca Nani decided he was best served switching to Watford.
Traore has played 87 Bundesliga matches across the last three seasons and became the first summer signing.
DEPARTURES
August 28 - Imran Louza (undisclosed fee - Panathinaikos)
The midfielder ended his five-year association with Watford by joining Moussa Sissoko in Greece.
Sky Sports report the fee to be £6.8 million.
August 15 - Nestory Irankunda (undisclosed fee - Sporting)
Irankunda departs for a fee understood to be around £15 million plus a sell-on.
The Australian is the latest example of the club's buy-to-sell model and only scored four goals last season, the market for his services expanding after he impressed at the World Cup.
August 14 - Jeremy Petris (undisclosed fee - Aris FC)
Petris leaves after just 11 months at the club, a reported fee of €800k representing a small loss on the €1.5m spent to sign him.
He struggled to make an impression during his one season at the club.
August 13 - Egil Selvik (loan - Stade Brest)
It appears Selvik had a pre-agreement with Watford to leave this summer and a move has finally been sorted.
The Norwegian heads to Ligue 1, where Stade Brest are obligated to make the deal permanent next summer.
August 9 - Remiero Moulton (loan - Worthing)
Moulton featured at the start of pre-season, but with the first-team midfield now better stocked he has been allowed out on loan.
The 20-year-old will be with the National League side until September 7.
August 4 - Alfie Marriott (loan - Chelmsford City)
Having featured in pre-season, Marriott will gain more first-team experience at sixth-tier Chelmsford City.
The 22-year-old played at the same level for Slough Town during 2025/26.
August 3 - Josh Mullins (loan - Wealdstone)
Mullins had not been involved in the first team setup this summer, instead training with Wealdstone after the scrapping of the club's Under-21 team.
He impressed sufficiently to secure a one-month loan move.
July 22 - Tom Dele-Bashiru (€500k - Aris FC)
Dele-Bashiru ended his seven years as a Watford player by signing a permanent deal worth €500k with Aris FC in Greece.
The midfielder played 81 times for the Hornets, but had been out on loan at Gençlerbirliği last season and was never likely to be in first-team plans.
JULY 6 - Giorgi Chakvetadze (undisclosed fee - Udinese)
After three years at Vicarage Road, Chakvetadze sealed a switch to sister club Udinese.
The Georgian had asked to leave this summer and, it has transpired, signed for Gino Pozzo's Serie A club with a fractured metatarsal.
JULY 3 - Nathan Baxter (undisclosed fee - Leyton Orient)
Baxter also asked to leave after playing just eight games since signing on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers last summer.
He joins Leyton Orient, where he should be first-choice keeper.
JULY 1 - Tom Ince (released)
After three years in WD18, Ince has departed on a free transfer.
He scored two hat-tricks in yellow but was largely frustrated by inconsistent game time throughout his period in Hertfordshire.
JULY 1 - Papy Mendy (released)
Mendy is another to leave, this time after only one season.
Having been shut out completely by Javi Gracia, the midfielder eventually played 26 times but saw his form drop off at the end of last season.
JULY 1 - Jonathan Lawson (released)
Having made his debut at Stoke City in March, Lawson departs.
He has since signed for FF Jaro in Finland, where he will aim to kickstart his senior career.
JULY 1 - Tobi Adeyemo (released)
Adeyemo made a famous impact on the first team in January 2023, becoming Watford's third-youngest ever goalscorer.
He has suffered badly with injuries since and is now on the hunt for a new club.
July 1 - Stephen Mfuni (end of loan)
Mfuni hadn't played since Stoke away in March but was technically contracted until this summer.
Watford would like to sign him back, but whether that's possible is still unclear.
July 1 - James Abankwah (end of loan)
Abankwah also doesn't appear likely to be heading back to the UK, having joined pre-season at Udinese.
He played 51 times for the Hornets across an 18-month loan spell.
July 1 - Formose Mendy (end of loan)
Mendy may be remembered as being billed by the club as their "number one target" in defence, but his Watford career was very forgettable in the main.
He started just one match in his natural centre-back position, subbed at half-time at home to Leicester.
July 1 - Saba Goglichidze (end of loan)
Another who won't be remembered too fondly, Goglichidze started well but soon saw his form dip hugely.
He has also returned to Udinese.
July 1 - Pierre Ekwah (end of loan)
Ekwah showed fleeting glimpses of ability in midfield but couldn't sustain it.
Ed Still dropped him at the end of the season and he is unlikely to be seen again in WD18.
