Newberries Car Park is set for improvements, including new EV charging points and enhanced security.

The upgrades, funded by Hertsmere Borough Council, will provide additional electric vehicle (EV) charging bays along with a full resurfacing of the car park.

The installation of the EV charging bays is set to begin in the week starting August 3, 2026, with the resurfacing work scheduled for early September 2026.

The council aims to improve user experience and security, with plans to also upgrade CCTV and signage. However, the construction period is expected to cause some disruption, including a reduction in the number of available parking spaces.

The council has assured that efforts will be made to minimise this inconvenience.

Traffic management measures will be put in place to maintain safe access, and advance notices will be displayed in the car park to inform users about the ongoing works.
