Roadworks are set to cause temporary closures in parts of Carpenders Park, Watford, and Abbots Langley in August.

The closures, which will come into effect from August 10, will last for five days and are being put in place to allow for works to be carried out on or near the affected roads.

By the Wood in Carpenders Park will be closed from its junction with Penrose Avenue, extending approximately 182 metres northwest, northeast, and northwest.

Another closure on By the Wood in Watford will stretch 33 metres southwest from its junction with the A4008 Oxhey Lane. An alternative route will be in place via A4008 Oxhey Lane, Carpenders Avenue, Delta Gain, Alva Way and By The Wood.

A third closure will affect Cherry Hollow in Abbots Langley, running southeast and southwest from its junction with Trowley Rise for its entire length. No alternative route is available for this section, but access will be maintained where possible during the works.

The order will remain in effect for 18 months, though the works themselves are scheduled to last only five days.

Anyone with queries about the proposed Order should contact Darren Barr tel. 0300 123 4047 at Ringway.
