A high street jewellers remains closed more than a week on from a "major" break-in.
Robert Harris Jewellers - which has operated in Rickmansworth since 1968 - has shared an update after suffering "considerable damage" to its storefront, door, windows and display cabinets in the early hours of August 30.
Richard Harris, son of founder Robert and the current manager of the store, said: "There’s lots of repair work lined up in the shop this week and we’re aiming to reopen early next week.
"We’re also taking the opportunity to make a few improvements and will have some fresh second hand jewellery on display when we return."
"Thank you once again to our amazing team, great tradespeople, wonderful customers and supportive local community for all your kind comments, help and positivity," he added.
While the shop is closed repairs can still be collected via a side entrance and orders can be placed via the businesses website.

Richard says he is hoping the shop can reopen "very soon", having initially said it would be closed for "at least a few days".
He has shared new pictures of the damage done to the store.
Police previously said they are looking for two men who are "approximately 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build, wearing dark clothing with their faces covered".
The force have been contacted for an update on if any arrests have been made.
