A Bushey car boot sale is to move to a new location outside of Hertfordshire.

Organisers of Bushey’s All Year Car Boot Sale said this week that winter events will move from Grange Academy to an unconfirmed venue in Edgware’s HA8 area.

They said the new site would improve on the “chaotic” venue at the London Road school.

It is currently holding its warmer weather events in Little Bushey Lane but will move to Edgware sometime next month once the fields get too wet.

The car boot sale runs year round but is held at different locations depending on the time of year. When warmer weather returns in the spring, the sale will likely return to Bushey for a while.

Organisers have said that while the new venue is outside of Bushey and Hertfordshire, it is just an eight-minute drive from the town and offers a "much better site for parking".

They promised bargain hunters the “same busy winter car boot sale in a better location”.

Bushey's car boot sales were in the headlines last year when then Conservative - now Reform UK - MP Robert Jenrick confronted sellers in London Road, accusing them of "selling stolen tools".
