A care home is celebrating a long-serving staff member who has reached a 20-year milestone.

Mimoza Velsula has worked at Bushey House Beaumont in Bushey in a range of roles over the past two decades, including hostess, receptionist, activities staff, and food and beverage assistant.

She recently completed the Barchester Chef Apprenticeship course in December 2025 and now also works as a chef.

Mary Jane Bague, general manager at Bushey House Beaumont, said: "Twenty years is a remarkable milestone, and we’re so grateful for everything Mimoza brings to Bushey House.

"She has supported residents and colleagues in so many different roles, and it’s lovely to see her continue to develop her skills in the kitchen. We’re proud to celebrate her and wish her many more happy years with us."

Ms Velsula is described as a "valued colleague" by the care home, and someone who is "loved" by residents. It is a true family affair, with Ms Velsula’s husband having served as head chef with the company for 26 years, and her 16-year-old son Lorenzo currently working as a host.

Bushey House Beaumont is part of Barchester Healthcare and provides care and nursing for 50 residents.
