YOUNG people living in the Three Rivers district and experiencing problems with housing can now benefit from a new scheme set up by Herts Young Homeless Group.

The scheme provides one-to-one support for young people aged 16 years to 25 years who are having problems maintaining their tenancy and to prevent them from becoming homeless.

Help can also be provided with drug and alcohol problems, benefits, budgeting, debt counselling, family breakdown and advice about education, training and employment.

All young people in the age range, including single people and couples with or without children, can profit from the scheme – which is free of charge to anyone eligible for housing benefit.

For more information about the service, contact Three Rivers District Council on 01923 776611 and ask to be referred on to the HYHG Floating Support Scheme.
