TWO sisters have been charged with burgling the home of an 81 year old with the help of a number of juveniles.
It is alleged 22-year-old Elen Ward, and her sister, Jeniffer, 24, who live together in Turnberry Court, South Oxhey, committed the offence at a home in Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, on Saturday, May 24.
The prosecution said at Watford Magistrates Court, last Friday, that the defendants are accused of entering the dwelling as trespassers, stealing cash, a wallet and jewellery.
The defendants were released on conditional bail until Monday, July 7, for committal for trial at the crown court.
Bail conditions state the defendants must report to the police station, not contact prosecution witnesses, and not go within 500 metres of Prestwick Road, South Oxhey.
The identity of the other defendants in the case cannot be revealed because they are under the age of 18.
