A POSSE of former Watford players and other soccer stars will compete against local talent in a charity match that looks set to be one of the highlights of the West Watford Show on Sunday, September 14.
Organisers are hoping for a good turn out for the annual community event to be staged at West Herts Sports Club in Park Avenue.
A friendly match between The Luther Blissett XI and the West Watford All Stars will launch the event at 12.30pm.
Luther's line-up includes ex-Watford stars Francis Cassidy, Dennis Elliott, Nigel Gibbs, Martin Patching, Neil Price, Les Taylor and Steve Terry.
They will be joined by former Arsenal player Paul Davis, ex-Chelsea player Cliver Walker and ex-Ipswich star John Wark for the fun competition.
The event also features live music, theatre and puppet shows for children and numerous food stalls and side shows.
There will be a wildlife show presented by Epping Forest Owl and Hawk Sanctuary plus visitors will have the chance to get creative and try African drumming and glass painting.
