A MISSING woman, whose former partner is offering a £15,000 reward to find her, has come forward to say she is safe and well but does not want to return to him.

Tetanya Brochanicko, 24, has been the subject of an intensive search by the father of her child Mr Majeed Tarhuny.

He has plastered his car with pictures of her and his two-year-old son and offered a £15,000 reward for any information about her.

But this week Ms Brochanicko contacted The Watford Observer to reassure readers that she and the child were happy and healthy and living in London.

The couple were married in April this year but it emerged that Mr Tarhuny was already married. The pair are now embroiled in a custody battle through the High Court with a hearing due to take place yesterday (Thursday).

She said he had been spreading a false account of her disappearance to gain people's sympathy.

She said: "It was just to get people's sympathy to help him get whatever he wants. I am sure it will not lead to anything good for me or my child."

Mr Tarhuny has always maintained that he was only interested in the welfare of his son. He said: "I want him back where he belongs."
