Members of Croxley Green Parish Council elected a new chairman last night at the authority’s annual general meeting.
Councillor Marion Birch, first elected in May 2007, replaced outgoing chairman Councillor Brian Norman.
Mrs Birch, who is also the chief executive of Hertfordshire Age Concern, was unanimously selected by fellow members. She said: “I am delighted with the trust and confidence that council members have placed in me.
“I am looking forward to this exciting and challenging role and I will endeavour to serve this Council and all the residents of Croxley Green.”
