Police are investigating after a fire resulted in a boat sinking on the Grand Union Canal early this morning.
The fire started on a small boat, thought to be used by the owners to access a barge, at around 5.50am today.
The boat was on a stretch of the canal near Maple Lodge Close, by the sewage works in Maple Cross.
Firefighters from Rickmansworth and Watford fire stations were joined by the special boat unit from Hatfield.
Police officers have been investigating the scene to determine whether the fire was deliberate.
