Racist thugs abused a 40-year-old man before kicking him and threatening him with a knife, police have revealed.

The attack happened as the victim, a man from Watford, was walking towards Sainsbury’s, in Cow Lane, north Watford, at around 11.30pm.

The victim was then approached by a group of around six people and was racially abused before a man kicked him.

A second man from group then pulled out a knife before the victim ran away.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened on Saturday, August 21.

The first man is described as white, aged around 15 or 16 years old and around 5ft 8 ins tall.

Police say he was of small build and had a round face and pointed nose. He was wearing a short sleeved brown t- shirt with a design on the left hand side of the chest, white tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.

The second attacker was a white man, of skinny build. He was around 6ft tall and aged in his late teens.

He was wearing a long sleeved black hoody with the hood pulled up over his head and black tracksuit bottoms.
