The uplifting sounds of the Kings Langley Community Choir have helped to raise almost £2,500 for charity following their successful “Voices for Hospices” concert.

Held at Berkhmastead Collegiate, Hertfordshire, on Saturday, October 10, the evening proved a triumph, as the choir sang alongside the Chesham-based men’s barbershop chorus Knights of Harmony and lady’s chorus Amersham a Capella.

Choir member Eddie Dillon said: “The evening was a huge success and we helped raise about £2,500 for the Hospice of St Francis.

“The future of Community Choirs is bright, thanks in part to the very positive effect South Oxhey Choir had in Oxhey.

"In a smaller way it is impacting very nicely here in Kings Langley with our Community Choir.”

The money raised by the choir has been promised to the Hospice of St Francis, which provides palliative care to West Hertfordshire.
