Prospects for growth next year, the UK housing market, interest rates and exchange rates will be among the topics discussed by Dennis Turner, Chief Economist for HSBC, when he speaks at Watford Chamber of Commerce’s networking breakfast at the Park Inn, Watford, from 7.30am on Tuesday, November 10.
Dennis began his career at the National Economic Development Office in Whitehall. With staff drawn from management, the civil service and trade unions, the remit was to assess the constraints impeding performance.
Throughout his career Dennis has had regular contact with policy-making bodies. In a personal capacity, he was one of a small number of private sector economists who advised the pre-Blair Labour Party. He remains high level Government contacts.
