Watford Ladies Under 12 Harts strode through to the County Cup quarter finals after an impressive 7-1 win against Hemel Hempstead Town. Watford Ladies were determined from the start which resulted in two early goals from Watford’s Beth Turnbull. Fluid accurate passing and excellent ball control led to strikes from Julia Waller and Fiona McQuire to give the home side a four goal lead at half-time. Hemel never really got into the game and the second half started with a quick fifth goal from Charlie Mcbrayne and two more from Julia Waller completed the scoring for Watford. A late goal for Hemel was deserved for a team that didn’t give up.
Watford Ladies Player of the match goes to Beth for being everywhere in the middle of the field and using her head to such devastating advantage. Her two goals from well back from the goal were the icing on the cake.
