One lane remains closed on the M1 northbound following an accident this morning.
Traffic heading north on the M1 was brought to a halt after a crash at the motorway's junction with the M25 at Bricket Wood just after Junction 6.
Police say one car hit the central reservation.
Two lanes have now been opened but the area is still heavily congested.
