Public consultation gets underway today on the latest phase of Hertfordshire County Council’s long-term strategy for managing and disposing of the county’s waste.
The council wants to know what people think about the strategy for 2011 to 2026, known as the Waste Development Framework, and is encouraging as many people as possible to take part in the consultation, which runs until December 18.
“We are urging local people to take this opportunity to help shape the plan that we are going to be using to determine how we manage, dispose of and reduce the huge amount and range of waste that we produce each year,” said Derrick Ashley, executive member for planning and waste.
