Train services have been resumed this afternoon after police freed a lorry stuck under a railway bridge.
The line was temporarily closed while police officers removed the HGV vehicle that had hit a bridge over Orphanage Road, close to Woodford Road and Watford Junction station.
Trains had run at a reduced speed over the bridge while Network Rail engineers carried out inspections to assess any damage, following the collision at 11.40am.
Orphanage Road will remain closed to traffic until the lorry, which had its tyres deflated during police attempts to free it, has been removed from the scene.
