Dance troop Diversity, the winners of Britain's Got Talent, will switch on Watford town centre's Christmas lights next week.

The ten-member group will join Watford FC and Saracens players and event host Jeff Brazier, from GMTV, to usher in the start of the festive period.

The Watford Rock Choir will also be performing while the cast of Watford Palace Theatre's Christmas pantomime Cinderella will be entertaining the crowds.

Santa Claus is also expected to make a special appearance.

Chrissy Dawson, marketing manager at The Harlequin, said: “'It’s set to be a fantastic night at the Harlequin. We're really excited about having Diversity come back to the centre to turn on the Christmas lights, after performing here last May. It’s a family evening with lots of fun on stage not forgetting the fireworks at the finale of the show.'”

The event takes place from 6pm outside the Harlequin Centre entrance by Waterstone's on Thursday, November 12.
