CROWDS crammed into Cassiobury Park on Saturday for a spectacular celebration of bonfire night.
Blessed with fine weather, in welcome contrast to the drizzle of Friday, Watford Borough Council's celebration of Guy Fawkes Night got underway at 5.30pm.
Although sparklers were banned, children enjoyed their own display from 6.15pm before the spectacular and noisy main attraction at 7.30pm.
As well as a traditional bonfire and food and drink, the council arranged a live band to entertain crowds between displays.
