Can you buzz like a bee, wiggle like a worm, flutter like a butterfly or crawl like a caterpillar?

That is the question being asked of children and toddlers at Jo Jingles, a playgroup in Watford, as they prepare to take part in a sponsored singalong week.

The singalongs will take place during music and movement classes for children from three months to five years old.

Parents are encouraged to join their kids and dress up as "boogie bugs" for the BBC Children in Need Appeal 2009.

Whilst this is no X-factor, the young children and toddlers have spent the last few weeks practising for the charity event.

The classes are run in and around Watford, as part of a nationwide event, beginning on 16 October.

Charlotte Baker, of Jo Jingles, said: "I've got to say it's not just mums that come along, we get some dads and grandparents too.

"The children have been learning the words to all the songs in the last few weeks and we are really looking forward to it."

Last year the BBC came to film some of the sessions making the need for good costumes even greater in case they return this year.

All the money raised will be donated to the BBC appeal. For more information, telephone Charlotte Baker on 01923 222529.
