Charity shops in Rickmansworth are looking for volunteers to turn ordinary donations into catwalk fashion.
The ‘Rags to Riches Fashion Show’ is organised by Three Rivers Volunteer Centre and the National Youth Volunteering Programme.
It will give volunteers the chance to make over charity shop bargains and model the results on the catwalk.
Kathe Clark, of the Volunteer Centre, said: “This is a great opportunity for people young and old to work together in the community.
"You don’t have to be an expert just willing to give it a go.”
Oxfam, Sue Ryder and Age Concern/Help the Aged shops in Rickmansworth will provide the clothes to be customised and will benefit from the sales after the fashion show.
Roles needed include models, clothes customisers, dress makers, publicity, hair and make-up, planning group and many more.
The show will take place at the Watersmeet Theatre in February 2010
