The sum of £2,000 was given away at a public meeting last week.
Mill End Forum, as with all local area forums, receives £2,000 a year to distribute the way it sees fit, providing the suggestions are legal and have no revenue consequences.
An unprecedented number of suggestions were made at the meeting, which were eventually whittled down to four local concerns.
Councillor Ann Shaw said: “It is unusual to have so many suggestions on how to spend the money, with eight proposals to begin with, and six to vote on.”
A contribution of £500 was made to the new Rickmansworth Christmas lights being purchased by the Rickmansworth Chamber of Commerce, and £500 was given to the Rickmansworth Canal Trust.
A further £600 was given for a new seat to be installed at the junction of Nightingale Road and Meadow Way, Rickmansworth to accommodate elderly residents walking to the shops.
The additional £200, and any remaining money, will be given to the Women's Royal Voluntary Society.
