A pilgrimage across Watford will explore different faiths by visiting five different places of worship.

The walk, organised by Watford Interfaith Association (WIFA), will begin at the Watford and District Synagogue, in Nascot Road, at 2pm on Sunday.

Pilgrims will then walk to St Mary's Church (arriving at 3pm), Watford Central Mosque in Cambridge Road (3.30pm) and Holy Rood Catholic Church (4pm).

The two-mile tour will finish at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Ladys Close (4.30pm).

At each place of worship, a member of the congregation will lead a tour of the building and answer questions.

Lateef Hussaini, chairman of WIFA, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Watford to see inside places of worship in the town centre, perhaps for the fist time, and gain an understanding of the various customs of the different faiths."

The pilgrimage will take place as part of the first national Interfaith Week in England, from November 15-21.
