Young sports stars in Hertsmere will be given the chance to represent their borough in a county wide competition.
Anyone between seven and 19 can enter for next year’s Herts Youth Games, where each of the ten boroughs in the county will be pitched against each other.
Helen Bottomley, community sports officer, said: "This is an excellent opportunity to try out new sports and get actively involved with local sports groups.
"So come along, you could be Britain's next big sporting hero."
Sports include aquathlon, athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket , football, netball, rugby and table tennis.
The games take place on June 26, 2010, at the University of Hertfordshire’s sport village in Hatfield.
