Crime in Abbots Langley's School Mead has decreased according to local police.
At a meeting of the parish council yesterday, parish clerk Tim Perkins read a statement on behalf of Sergeant Neil Canning, who was absent for proceedings.
He said: “The number of incidents in the area of School Mead has reduced this month, however there are still the same youths who are causing problems and shouting at customers and members of staff.
“Work is still ongoing to introduce anti-social behaviour contracts to these youths to hopefully put an end to this before it becomes a bigger problem.
“The schools PCSO will be liaising with the relevant schools to make them aware which youths are causing the issues outside the shop.”
