The opening of Watford's new fire station is to be marked with a parade through the ages of the service.
Curators of Hertfordshire Fire Museum, which shares the same site as the Rickmansworth Road station, have arranged the procession which takes place next week.
Curator Roger Middleton said: “There will be a horse drawn engine from 1896, a Leyland engine from 1937 and the three currently operational vehicles.”
Mr Middleton worked for the fire service for 34 and a half years before taking an usher's position at Watford Magistrates' Court.
The procession starts the Rickmansworth Road fire station at 2pm on Thursday November 19. It will then make its way down to the new station in Lower High Street.
