A part-time barman accused of setting fire to the kitchen of a community centre stands trial tomorrow.
Nicholas Poole, 21, is alleged to have deliberately set fire to the Mill End community centre in Church Lane, on Tuesday, April 3, 2008, causing about £10,000 damage to the kitchen and fittings.
Poole, who was working at the centre at the time of the allegation, pleaded not guilty to arson in October.
The trial of Poole, of Northdown Road, Chalfont St Peter, is scheduled to begin at noon at St Albans Crown Court and is expected to last up to five days.
