A popular teacher suspended for more than eight months from a Watford school will have to wait further to learn his fate after a long-awaited disciplinary hearing was adjourned.
Martin Elvin was suspended in June last year from Westfield Community Technology College after allegedly pushing a teenage student.
He finally attended a hearing with school governors at a Hatfield Hotel on Friday, where he was due to learn what – if any – disciplinary sanctions he would face.
The Watford Observer understands, however, that the single day scheduled for the three member committee to hear evidence proved insufficient.
A second and final day will now be scheduled – likely to be in the next month.
