ENGLAND International Footballer is the officially licensed, FA endorsed football game of the national team and was released by Codemasters just before this years eagerly anticipated European Championships in Portugal.
It is based on the successful Club Football series but adapted to the international arena.
However, there is one major improvement which delivers almost the same impact at Rooney's right foot this is the first football title to support online play.
There are 32 national teams to choose from and seven modes of play including exhibition games, custom leagues and cups and of course the European Championships featuring all this year's finalists.
As per Club Football you can create a virtual replica of yourself and line up in the starting XI alongside your England heroes.
The game uses the same style of control as Pro Evolution Soccer with elements of FIFA thrown in for good measure (the shooting power bar and analogue stick for aiming) but the controls are userfriendly.
The actual look and sound of the game is excellent with some detailed player likenesses and great crowd chants recorded from actual matches which adds a nice touch of realism to proceedings.
Football sim purists will always sing the praises of Pro Evolution Soccer but England International Football still has a lot to offer gamers of all ages.
