NO one except fans of the green velvet cloth will usually raise an eyebrow at the excitement factor of a game of snooker.
But Codemasters' latest snooker sim breaks the mould and delivers a wonderful game.
World Championship Snooker 2004 is about as close to the real thing as you can get without physically stepping through the doors at the Crucible.
Gameplay is hugely atmospheric and nothing short of brilliant. You choose the shot, cuing position, side and of course, power, then sit back and watch the results.
You even have to contend with members of the beautifullyrecreated arena audience clearing their throats, coughing and the odd mobile phone ring.
The ability to play online adds even more to an already solid title but make sure you have a spare couple of hours.
