WHETSTONE lost their second match to Echoes Amber in three days, going down 3-1 in the Challenge Cup Semi-Final.
This was a very tight match with few chances played with great commitment by both sides.
Echoes opened the scoring after Whetstone failed to clear a goalmouth scramble.
Luke Papini equalised for Whetstone from a Lorenzo Toumazos pass.
Echoes scored their second when a long 'route one' ball wasn't cleared.
Whetstone pressed forward looking for an equaliser, but were caught square when a ball was sent across their area for an easy tap in at the far post.
Good luck to Echoes in the Final!
