The Wellington played their first league game for more than two months away to local rivals Woods Academy.

A very physical and organised Woods side made The Wellington work hard throughout the match, but they were able to continue with their impressive run of form.

The game started at a very frantic pace, with tackles flying in all over the park, but after a while The Wellington began to settle things down with their quick and precise passing.

At the break The Wellington were 4-0 up, with goals from James Taylor and a fine hat-trick from Dean Parratt.

However, when the teams came out for the second half The Wellington relaxed, and defenders Taylor, Andy Burrows and Iain Frost had to work hard to keep Woods' attempts at goal at bay.

Woods did pull a couple of late goals back to add some respectability to the final score, 4-2 to The Wellington.
