YOU can very rarely go into a restaurant nowadays and feel you've enjoyed the whole experience, from the delicious food right through to the personal service.

Yet that's what you'll walk away with from Belair Restaurant in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood.

This small Greek restaurant is successfully run by Mary and Andrew who thrive on offering the best service and excellent food at great prices.

The warm atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk through the door with the dim lights, plush large chairs and fish tanks and plants putting the finishing touches to the home away from home.

After being greeted personally by the couple, you will be seated wherever you please and be instantly served with appetisers while you decide on your meal.

With set courses, you are certainly offered great value for money. The Dine and Dance Three Course Menu means that for under £20 on Fridays and Saturdays you can enjoy anything from the menu which includes a range of seafood from Hot King Prawns for starters to fresh Salmon for a main course. You could opt for a simple soup of the day or spare ribs for starters with a further range of filling main courses like a supreme of Chicken Atillo, a delicious combination of chicken tossed with King Prawns with mushrooms, shallots, pimentos, garlic and concasse sauce.

A variety of meat dishes are also available including Beef Stroganoff and grilled beef T-bone but for that really authentic taste, you could go for one of the Greek dishes like lamb kleftiko, a knuckle of lamb marinated in wine and herbs served with a rich sauce on a bed of rice or lamb shaslick kebabs, cubes of lamb marinated in wine and herbs skewered with onion and peppers again served with rice.

We also tried the vegetarian meals on offer including a vegetarian risotto and vegetarian moussaka. All finished off with a delicious range of desserts.

All meals, of course, can be accompanied by the huge range of wines on offer from traditional red and white wine to delicious tastes from Greece and Cyprus.

The meal offers continue throughout the week with a three course luncheon on Sundays or Tuesdays to Fridays for under £15 or a three course dinner from Tuesdays to Thursdays for less than £17.

Once a regular spot for George Micheal, a DJ will entertain customers on Friday and Saturday nights offering great music to suit the mood with dedications and special messages.

Thursday evenings are given that classical touch with entertainment from Peter Mann playing the piano.

This relaxed atmosphere is the ideal venue for business lunches and company parties as well as birthdays, anniversaries or just that typical family get together.

The restaurant is also available for private hire with elegant seating and a garden opening out in the back for the summer months.

Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this small but modern and elegant restaurant offers a dining experience you will never forget from the minute you walk in the door.
