FOUR area managers from a major pub firm cycled 180 miles to raise money for children with leukaemia and cancer.
Mr Mark McGinty, Mr David van Gestel, Mr Stuart Bowker and Mr Tom McLauchlan who work for J D Whetherspoon, met at the company's head office in Reed Crescent, Watford, to cycle to Leeds.
The group raised a total of £2,500 for the charity Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood during the two day ride, receiving sponsorship from the head office and pub staff.
Mr McLauchlan, who dressed up for the fund raising event, collected money from Whetherspoon customers on route. Mr van Gestel said: "The cycle ride was a lot of fun and we're delighted to have raised so much money for a wonderful charity."
