THE owner of a missing tortoise has made a passionate plea for her safe return.
The brown tortoise, who does not have a name, was last seen a week ago.
Her owner, Mr Larry Sloman, 54, of Horseshoe Lane, Watford, thinks she escaped out of his back garden and has been picked up by someone else.
He said: "We miss her very much and we want her back.
"My main concern is that she will die if we don't get her back soon as she needs to hibernate."
Mr Sloman is offering a reward for her safe return.
If anyone has any information on the tortoise, they are asked to call Mr Sloman on 01923 676 018.
