A GROUP of Watford fans have formed Watford Supporters Limited, an organisation to manage the newly-formed Supporters' Trust.

The organisation, which will be open to all supporters, will be launched at Harry's Bar, Vicarage Road, on Thursday, September 19.

The new organisation released the following press statement this week under the heading, 'Vicarage Road is our home'.

"Fans of Watford FC are proud to announce the formation of Watford Supporters Limited, an organisation to manage the newly formed Supporters Trust. Recent changes in the ownership of our Vicarage Road Stadium makes this organisation one of great relevance to all fans of Watford FC.

"We are very clear about our objective. There can be no other reason for the Trust to exist than to work to secure the existence of professional football at Vicarage Road. Until parties solely interested in the well-being of Watford FC and the surrounding community secure the ownership of the Vicarage Road site, this aim cannot be met.

"The Supporters Trust is a non-profit making organisation, and its control of Vicarage Road would ensure that the ground will never be put at risk again. Quite clearly, as fans of our club, we do not support it for financial gain. The club have been most encouraging to date, and this is an ideal opportunity to create a partnership for the long-term benefit of Watford FC.

"To this end, the Watford Supporters Trust invite supporters of Watford FC and shareholders of Watford Leisure PLC to an open meeting on Thursday, September 19, at 7.30pm, in Harry's Bar, Vicarage Road Stadium, Watford. Among the speakers will be Dave Boyle of the Supporters Direct organisation, which is based at Birkbeck College, London.

"This meeting will effectively launch the Trust, but will also provide an open forum for all fans to air their opinions as to the aims, objectives and direction the Trust should take.

"The Trust can only be inclusive if fans want to be included. This is your chance to be included in the most important fan based organisation in 80 years, since the club moved to Vicarage Road in 1922."
